It's the currency of Starring Tales. A 5-minute story costs 3 stars, a 10-minute one 4, a 15-minute one 5 and a personalized classic 2. That way you can mix them however you like from the same balance.

Stars you buy never expire: stars from single stories, packs and the club are yours to keep, and unused club stars keep adding up month after month, even if you cancel. Only the welcome gift stars expire, after 90 days, and they're used first. Your account shows when they expire.

We automatically try again. If we still can't paint at least half of the illustrations, we'll give you back its stars (if you bought it on its own, we give you the stars it costs, and if you'd rather have your money, you can ask for it from the book's page) and you keep the book anyway.

For packs and the club, yes: you have 14 days to cancel from your account, and we'll refund the part of what you paid for the stars you haven't used. A story that has already been created is personalized content delivered right away, so it can't be refunded (unless we can't illustrate it: then we refund it automatically, in stars or, if you paid by card and prefer, in money).

From your account, with one button and no phone calls. We'll email you 7 days before each renewal. Canceling takes effect at the end of the month you've paid for, and you keep all your stars: they never expire.

Yes. Prices are in US dollars, but if you pay from outside the US, at checkout you'll see the amount in your currency at the exchange rate Stripe calculates at that moment (it includes a small conversion fee). If you prefer, you can pay in dollars.

Yes. When you pay, we email you an order confirmation with the amount, the taxes and the terms you accepted, and Stripe emails you a receipt. Club invoices are also available in My account.

We automatically review what you write so the story is right for children and doesn’t use copyrighted characters. If you ask for one, the story brings an original character a bit like them (a queen with ice magic, a hero who climbs walls), and a child who shares a name with a character keeps their name.
